Annual Reports

Reports to Parliament

Each year, the Courts Administration Service (CAS) produces an Annual Report to satisfy Subsection 12(1) of the Courts Administration Service Act.

CAS also prepares a Departmental Results Report (DRR) on an annual basis. The DRR is part of the Government of Canada’s Expenditure Management System. The DRR provides a comprehensive report on our performance for the previous fiscal year, a discussion of our achievements against the key indicators and targets set out in our Departmental Plan, and our financial statements. In 2023–24, CAS did not produce an Annual Report, however results for that year can be found in the 2023–24 DRR.

The workload data of the Judicial and Registry Services Sector in support of each of the Courts is produced by each of the Courts and available on their websites:

• Federal Court 
• Federal Court of Appeal 
• Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada: Because of the low volume of decisions, the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada does not produce statistics.
