After hours

Please note that the services of a duty officer outside of regular business hours have been put in place at the request of the Registries of the 4 national courts to respond to matters of an urgent nature that arise after regular hours, which are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. During business hours, you should always contact the Registry’s regular phone number. For this service to remain effective and viable, please ensure that duty officers are contacted in response to urgent circumstances that cannot wait until the next business day (e.g. a request for an urgent court hearing, the arrest or release of vessels, cargo, etc.), or to urgently deliver information outside of normal Registry hours.

NOTE: Duty officers for the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada are only on duty until midnight, local time. Duty officers for the Tax Court of Canada are only on duty until midnight, Eastern Standard Time.
