General information: Institutional GBA Plus capacity
Governance
CAS is implementing GBA Plus to strengthen the systemic integration of sex, gender and diversity considerations into its initiatives, departmental culture and operations.
Capacity
In 2024-25, CAS will:
- In collaboration with the Federal Courts, develop a strategy by March 31st 2025, to gather the necessary socio-cultural data and information of the Courts’ users to better identify impacts and barriers to improve services for diverse groups. This will help CAS better assess needs, identify gaps for different programs, and improve decision-making.
- Use GBA Plus analysis to support the development of responsive and inclusive policies, programs and initiatives including ensuring our facilities modernization program is inclusive and eliminates any physical barriers that would prevent or diminish the ability of Members of the Courts, litigants, employees, and Canadians from fully participating in the judicial system.
