Acting Chief Administrator and Chief Executive Officer

David Boudreau joined the Courts Administration Service in September 2023 as Director General, Integrated Services. He has led major initiatives to support compliance with new and existing obligations under the Official Languages Act, including the Translation, Revision and Publication system, its associated policy and the neural translation solution. Between October 2025 and March 2026, he served as Acting Deputy Chief Administrator, Judicial and Registry Services.

David holds degrees in biochemistry and chemical engineering from the University of Ottawa. During his studies, he completed laboratory work at the National Research Council. He then spent 3 years at i-STAT as a Process Engineer. In January 2004, he joined the Patent Office at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office as a Patent Examiner, specializing in diagnostic devices. After 4 years with the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, he returned to the Patent Office in 2014 as Director. He moved to Health Canada in January 2018 to serve as Director General of the Medical Devices Directorate.

David and his wife are the proud parents of 3 grown daughters, aged 17, 19 and 21. They live in Québec city. Like the rest of his family, he enjoys sports and the great outdoors including swimming, cycling and cross-country skiing. He loves dancing and knitting, activities that bring him joy and balance.
